Lily had her 1st Birthday Party this past Saturday. We spent alot of time planning and decorating. People say the 1st birthday party isn't about the baby but it is about the parents. For us it was really about wanting the people in our lives to meet the most special little girl.
So 1st the details for Lily's Winter ONEderland...
Here is the wreath I made for the door. This was a super quick and cheap project. The whole wreath probably cost $6
Here is the sign we had on our window.
We made jars filled with hot chocolate and marshmallows for the party favors. We reused Lily's baby food jars and spray painted the lids.
Here are some of the other decorations for the room.
Lily's cupcake toppers were a big hit. The cupcake stand was made from charges and a candlestick from the dollar store.
And of course Lily's outfit went with the theme. I made her the bow, shirt, and tights. It is hard to see but the ribbon on the tights has glittery snowflakes on them. She looked mighty cute if I may say so myself.
We didn't do a traditional cake but made cupcakes instead. If you follow my blog you know that I try to feed Lily really healthy foods. But since this was a special occasion Lily got a good ole hot dog, cupcake, and ice cream and boy did she love them. Needless to say, she got a tummy ache later, but hey it was her birthday party. I made the matching bib after seeing how messy she got on her real birthday. She didn't get to messy at her party. She wasn't trying to waste and cupcake.
Our friends and family were great to Lily and got her some really fun gifts.
Thank you so much to everyone for everything. If you were at the party and would like to send me the pictures you took that day please do. You can send them to erika_Faz@hotmail.com.
I also put together a video highlighting pictures from Lily's 1st year that I will post later.
Thanks again to everyone for sharing in this special day.
We had lots of fun too. And for the record, Lily wasn't a messy eater for her real birthday, she had a little help with that. You did a wonderful job with the decorations, the outfit, etc.
