It Lilys Birthday!!!

Lily is 9 months today. Crazy!!! Here are some photo from this morning.

Lily's 9 month stats as of 8/20th

Weight-16lbs 10oz (20%)
Height-26 1/2 in (25%)
Head-17 1/2in (50%)

Lily is all over the place with the size of clothes she is wearing but I would say most times she wears 3-6 months.

Most of this month Lily was eating 29oz a day of formula and 6oz of solids.  After talking to the doctor she is now eating 12oz of solids.  The bigger change is we talked to the doctor about how Lily wasn't holding her own bottle.  The doctor said she was fully capable but not doing it because she knew we would.  So we came home made her a bottle, laid her on a body pillow and walked away.  Guess what she did, she held that bottle and drank the whole think. She had no problem lifting to get the formula out.  Stinker!!

When it comes to playing Lily was concerning me because she didn't clap her hands. She would hit her knees and kick when she was excited. I talked to the doctor about this and she said not to worry kids express themselves differently. So the doctor left and we were waiting for the nurses to come give the TB Test and Iron test (Lily did not cry at all despite being poked twice) and guess what Lily did. She clapped her hands.  Clapping is her new favorite thing to do. Double Stinker!!

Lily is getting more mobile. She is all about the army crawl. She sometimes tries to pull herself up on things but shes a little short and can't really reach.  So she finds the next best thing to climb, mommy.

This month I put up Lily's play gyms up. Shes just not that interested.  Now I just give her a box of her toys and she goes to town pulling 1 toy out after another.  She is also a big fan of her jumper.

Over the next month we will be working on Lily's mobile skills. She needs to put herself into sitting position and helping her find new sounds to make.
We will continue to bask in the joy she brings us!!

Mommy and Daddy love you Lily!
Happy Birthday
