8 Months Old!!

Thats right Lily is 8 months old!  

We haven't been to the doctor so I am not sure Lily's height or weight but I can tell you she is getting bigger. She wear 3-6 months and in baby gap she sometimes wears 6-12 months! Shoes finally fit her and for the most part she is good about leaving them on, given they pass her taste test.

 

 Lily pretty much sleeps through the night. She is eating 2 oz of solids 3x a day and between 5-7 oz of formula 5x a day.  She has really gotten good with her finger foods and we are slowly giving more table food. We are starting to work on the sippy cup but she hasn't quite gotten the hang of that.

Lily has had some big girl moments this month. She sits in the big girl section of her stroller, sits in the high chair at restaurants, and rides in shopping carts without her car seat.  She loves having a better view of people and getting to see everything that is going on.

 

 Now that Lily is a great sitter her play habits have changed. She doesnt really care to lay on her play mate but she still does use as a place to play.  She loves this sorter toy.  She loves to bang on it and plays with for long periods.

Without a doubt the biggest change this month has come with addition of 2 teeth.  The pain  has definitely affected her mood.  Lily is much more fussy than normal and takes forever to put down for naps and to sleep.  There have been some nights that I truly believe were harder than any of those first nights, growth spurts, and immunizations.  Over the last couple of days we have seen some improvements and maybe we have made through the pain hump, atleast until she gets more teeth.

Even with the teething Lily still finds time to giggle, smile, and show us how much she loves us.  She has started to reach for you when she wants you and that makes for such a happy mommy and daddy.
