Ahhh 6 Months!!

Ahhhhh I'm 6 months Old!!!!!

I can't believe she is no longer this baby

She is still a tiny one just not that tiny.  At her 6 months check up Lily came in at 13lbs 13oz (10th percentile), 25 1/2" tall (25th percentile, and a head diameter of 16 1/2" (50th percentile). This still puts her in 0-3 months clothing with a few brand exceptions.

Lily eats 6oz every 3 hours and is a carrot lover and green bean hater. Her sleep schedule is kind of erratic since she keeps getting sick but she is no longer being swaddled.  

Lily's personality shines through even at this age.  She loves to smile but you have to work to get a laugh.  Whatever you did to get the laugh out of her will only work a hand full of times and then you got to get a new trick.  She is a very relaxed baby.  I had a friend come over the other day and while we talked and ate dinner Lily just sat quietly playing and watching.  Speaking of playing she loves to play with her play gym.  It is so funny to watch she will grab on to it with one hand on one hanging toy the other hand on another toy and kicking the other parts with her feet all at the same time.  She is also fascinated by the "Care For" tags on toys. Lily isn't always all smiles. She is stubborn as a bull and has very little patience especially when she is hungry.  Hmmm, she must get that from her father :)

This month has also brought her 2 bouts of ear infections and she continues to have respiratory problems. The 1st one was really bad.  She had the infection in both ears and her lungs were full of congestion.  Luckily we caught it before it developed into phenomnia. Even so,Lily never really acts sick but this time she did. It broke my heart.  But my baby is a fighter and she got through it. The doctors says we should see her get sick less since she will be with my sister over the summer instead of daycare and since summer carries far less viruses.

Everyday Kirkland I are amazed by our beautiful and sweet baby girl who brings us so much joy.  It has been the best 6 months of our lives.
