Too much this week

Lily had a big week a little to big with 3 major first.

We will start with the bad 1st.  Lily got sick and ended up in the hospital with pneumonia.  I am not going to describe this much because it was all too exhausting to relive.  I will say that my baby girl is so strong and such a fighter.  She managed to keep her spirits up regardless of how bad things got.  I am so grateful that she will not remember any of this and I hope this is our last time in a hospital for a very long time.

On a fun note. Lily had a her 1st laugh last weekend. It was so random which is fitting after all of the "Laugh Sessions" Kirk and I had trying to get her to laugh.  Kirk was feeding Lily and she started to cough so he patted her chest and low and behold she laughed.  This was a real laugh not the giggles we were trying to pretend where laughs.  Kirk stopped looked at me with shock and I told him to do it again and he did and she laughed again.  I was in the middle of pumping so I told him to stop because I wanted to get closer he did and then tried again and she laughed again.  On our 4th try she had enough and started to cry.We were thrilled.  This was one of those milestones that we both wanted to be there to enjoy.  We were terrified she would have her 1st laugh at daycare but she saved it for us :)  We didn't record it because I wanted to really savor the moment and not be worried about the camera and I was afraid she would stop when she saw the camera.

The other 1st she had is she intentionally reached out and grabbed at a toy. I had her in her play seat while I got ready to take her to the doctor.  So this happened right before she was admitted to the hospital.  Here are some of the pictures.
