Yesterday was not so fun for us. Lily had her 1st set of immunizations. It's horrible having to watch your baby in so much pain. When she got the shots she turned redder than I thought possible and let out the highest pitch scream. But really soon after she calm downed and was asleep before we got to the car. When we got home Lily was all smiles. I even got this picture to prove it.
Later that night it was a much different story. The area around her shots was red and swollen and she was clearly in pain. We tried our best to comfort her and by midnight she was finally sleeping and past the worst. This morning she is back to my happy smiley baby! Good thing she won't remember any of this!
The doctor visit wasn't all bad. Lily is now 22" long and 10lbs 12oz. She gained exactly 2lbs since her doctor visit 4 weeks ago. She is in the 50 percentile for her size. I even more don't understand why 0-3 months clothes tend to be so big and and long on her when she is average size for her age. We go back to the doctor in 2 months for more shot :( and her next check up. It makes me nervous that the appt is 2 months away. It so comforting to go to the doctors office and have them let you know that everything is going well and to be able to ask our list of questions. I know the doctor is office is just a call away but still! I know that it will be okay though, Lily is a great baby and has no problem letting us know when something is not okay with her :)
