So this weekend I got a bit sentimental. We are updating Lily's room since crazy girl has ripped down most of the wall paper we put above the chair rail. We of course didn't paint all the way down to the chair rail since it was going to be covered so now it just looks bad. You can see it the background of these photos
Since we been updating our house a little here and there I figured it was time to do the same to Lily's room. I was all into it when it came to picking out the new look and buying stuff but it hit me when I painted a swatch and took some the wallpaper down. My little Lily is not so little anymore. And even though I cherish those early months I am so in love with this little girl just as she is now. Every night Kirk and I appreciate all the silly things she did that day and how she makes us laugh. But enough mushy talk.
I went back in forth on how I should decorate Lily's room. For a while I was leaning towards a cutesy forest bird theme in soft colors but then Lily came marching down the hall growling away as she throw her ball all over, being so loud you could not hear the tv and I realized this is not a pastely kind of kid. She is just way to spunky, sweet, and full of life. So I decided on a pink, red, teal Sweets style room. Here is a small preview.
Her original room took Kirk and me 6 days to get ready and I wasn't too concerned with a budget then. This time around I have given myself a $40 budget challenge(excluding paint) and I sure hope it doesn't take as long.
Any how here is a video of my crazy kid. She doesn't need a twin when she has a mirror and you can here some of growling. She is a growling phase.
The room is going to be cute!
